Dermipure Dermaclinic
The first step in professional treatment is analyzing and determining your skin type. There are four basic skin types- dry, oily, combination, sensitive. People can have other characteristics different from their skin type as an oily skin can have surface dehydration. Therefore it is necessary to properly analyse the skin to ensure proper diagnosis and recommendation.
Dermascopy is skin surface microscopy done using a dermascope which is a simple hand held device. It allows visualization of changes in the skin, hair and nail which would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye.
Wood Lamp examination is a diagnostic test in which the skin or hair is examined while exposed to the black light emitted by the wood lamp. The lamp glows violet in a dark environment. It is used to identify the extent of pigmented or depigmented patches and to detect fluorescence.
Safe option with no downtime for treatment of scars anywhere on the body. It can be combined with other procedures for quicker results. Useful in treating acne scars, sun damaged skin, fine lines, open pores and stretch marks.
Procedure:
The parts of the body that can be treated is not only the face but the entire body can be treated. It is a superficial rejuvenating technique in which the skin is treated with aluminum oxide crystals, water or products such as vitamin C depending on the skin conditions of the individual.
Origin of microdermabrasion dates back to ancient Egyptian kings and queens who sand blasted their skin in their attempt at facial rejuvenation.
Microdermabrasion is used to remove scars, blemishes and rough skin leaving the skin smooth, even toned and radiant.
Benefits:
With microdermabrasion your skin will feel soft, smooth with reduction in scars and hyperpigmentation. For those with oily skin, there will also be a reduction in oiliness. Your dermatologist will give you follow up advice to be carried out at home to enhance these benefits.
Maintenance:
After a set of microdermabrasion procedures designed by our dermatologist you will have to maintain these results either by home care practices or return to the clinic for follow up sessions to get the maximum benefits.
FAQs:
What are Microdermabrasion treatments like?
We effect a superficial skin polishing with the aid of a delicate hand piece, through which micro-crystals are vacuumed. This technique delivers a gentle abrasion which efficiently produces satisfying results in as little as twenty minutes. Microdermabrasion treatments enhance your skin’s appearance through a course of weekly sessions. These treatments combat the signs of aging skin, thus achieving what no other available treatment can (without surgery). Most importantly, microdermabrasion is safe to use on all skin color and types.
How will I see results?
After your first treatment, your skin will have a fresh pink glow. Improvement continues through-out your treatment program. The number of treatments recommended for maximum results ranges from two to twelve.
How long do the treatments take?
Microdermabrasion treatments usually last about 10 to 30 minutes. However, treatments for stretch marks can take as long as two hours. During your sessions we focus on your problem areas, but time can be given to other areas of concern.
What is a chemical peel?
Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin. In this treatment a chemical solution is applied to the skin which causes the skin to get rid of undesirable changes that may have taken place such as pimples, pigmentation and wrinkles.
Depth of the peeling (Superficial, medium or deep) is chosen considering type of skin, damage done to skin & desired results.
During a chemical peel most patients experience a warm to hot sensation that may last for 2 – 3 minutes and maybe followed by some stinging. There are lunch time peels which permit the individual to go back to work immediately after the procedure without any special precaution except use of sunscreen. Deeper peels may require medications, special precautions, and may require a longer recovery time.
What can a chemical peel do?
Treat all types of acne(pimples) and mild scarring
Improve skin texture and colour
Diminish pigmentation such as sun spots, age spots, freckles or blotchiness
Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
It is also called Microbotox.
Procedure
Small quantities of highly diluted botox is injected into the superficial layers of skin to get desired result. This involves using special meso needles to deliver minute quantities of the substance into the skin. The skin is numbed using a topical anaesthetic cream to make the procedure painless. The individual can return to work immediately after procedure.
Benefits
Mesobotox can be used to treat open pores, very fine lines or crinkling of skin seen with aging. Mesobotox has the added advantage of decreasing sweat and oil production in the skin and gives the skin a shiny appearance.
Maintanance
After a series of three sessions, the procedure can be repeated once in 6 months to maintain the achieved results.
Fillers can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles, or improve the appearance of recessed scars.
The visible signs of facial aging occur over time as a result of sun exposure, heredity and life style.
One of the earliest signs of aging is a loss of facial fullness and the development of wrinkles. Softening of these facial lines and the restoration of volume and fullness in the face often can be achieved non-surgically with injectable fillers.
If you would like to restore facial contours, or reduce the appearance of lines and creases, injection therapy with soft tissue fillers may be right for you.
Injectable fillers can:
Plump thin lips
Enhance shallow contours
Soften facial creases and wrinkles
Improve the appearance of recessed scars
Natural aging process makes the skin around the eyes thin and wrinkled. It also looses volume creating dark circles, bags and hollows beneath the eyes. Non invasive dermal fillers can be used to restore volume in the area around the eyes resulting in tighter firmer skin and hence a more youthful appearance.
What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a non-surgical medical technique which was first introduced in France over 50 years ago. It is a virtually painless injection of vitamins, minerals, medications and amino acids placed just under the surface of the skin to deliver corrective treatment to a specific area. With the skin as the direct vehicle by which the body receives its treatment, quick results are achieved
The common applications of mesotherapy:
spot weight reduction
Hair loss
scar revision
Cellulite reduction
Wrinkle elimination
What are the typical results of Mesotherapy?
For Skin Rejuvenation (Mesolift): Mesolift infuses the skin with potent vitamins, proteins and anti-oxidants to rejuvenate and revitalize it. These facilitate the skin’s ability to build collagen and elastin as well as hold onto moisture. The skin becomes noticeably firm, youthful, radiant, and more hydrated. You will need about 4-5 sessions, spaced one to two weeks apart.
For Hair Restoration (MesoHair): Mesotherapy works well in restoring hair. Medications which are traditionally applied topically and/or taken orally are injected into the scalp. Through this, the medication at full strength, without getting broken down by the liver or kidneys reaches the target hair follicle. The result is a significant decrease in hair loss and an increase in hair growth.
Electroporation is a very effective method for delivery of drugs into the dermis of the skin using electrical impulses which improve the permeability of the cell membrane. By this method many substances can be delivered transdermally.
Electroporation is done for
• Skin lightening
• Anti aging
• Skin hydration
• Skin rejuvenation
It may be done alone or in combination with other modalities of treatment for best results. It is a safe quick procedure with no downtime and no side effects.
It is an electro chemical process, in which a small direct current is used on the skin or scalp to deliver medication at a constant rate to a depth of 6-20mm. The treatment works on the principle that charged ions in the skin are either attracted or repelled from the electrodes resulting in certain chemical effects. It is a painless, sterile, non-invasive technique.
Used for
Hair fall
Facial rejuvenation
Hyperhidrosis (increased sweating),
Nail Psoriasis
With increasing use of nail paints, nail art, acetone, repeated manicures, cosmetic nail procedures and detergents the nail plate undergoes repeated damage resulting in rough lusterless and pigmented nails. Besides that fungal infection of nails, lichen planus infecting nails, nail pitting and ridging due to various diseases also cause cosmetically disfiguring nails. Severe nail psoriasis can impact the quality of your life.
Topical nail delivery is challenged by the structure of the nail and low permeability of drugs across the nail plate. Iontophoresis efficiently enhances drug permeation and transport across the nail plate. It is a painless, easily administered, cost effective out patient treatment.
PRP is blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. As a concentrated source of autologous platelets, meaning it comes from the patient’s own body, PRP contains several different growth factors and others cytokines that promote tissue repair, capillary formation and collagen production. PRP can be used in isolation or as an adjunct to other procedures. This is an effective way to enhance hair growth especially for more stubborn areas of hair loss i.e. receding hair line and crown.
Method:
The process involves the collection of whole blood which is centrifuged to separate the PRP from RBC’s. The PRP is then used either by multiple micro injections given on the scalp or by application post dermaroller.
Benefits:
Hair loss disorders – PRP has shown to stimulate dormant hair follicles and hence promote new hair growth.
Facial rejuvenation- PRP can treat wrinkles, photo damage and skin discoloration in conjunction with other treatment modalities.
Post-traumatic scars- PRP combined with fractional laser resurfacing improve cosmetic appearance of scars.
Scars and stretch marks- Micro needling technique is used which allows greater penetration of the PRP to minimize the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
Procedure:
It is an easy, cost effective way of removing most unwanted benign and cancerous skin lesions. This procedure employs electrically generated heat using state of the art devices.
Origin of electro surgery dates back to 1889, when Thompson used alternating current to produce heat in tissues without harming the human body.
Benefits:
With electrosurgery, treatment is painless, no bleeding and no stitching. Many skin growths like warts, moles, some birth-marks, freckles, small cysts can be removed within few minutes and you can go to your normal life after the procedure. Home care after the procedure is very simple and our dermatologist will advice accordingly.
Micro Pigmentation, also known as permanent camouflage, enhances facial features such as eyebrows, eyelashes and lips, and masks conditions like scarring and uneven pigmentation. The treatment can also be used to reconstruct the nipple and areola area of the breast.
The Micro Pigmentation Procedure
Since the surface layer of the skin (epidermis) continually undergoes a natural exfoliation process, the color is tattooed on both the surface skin layer and the skin layer below (dermis layer). A topical anesthetic is applied before treatment to reduce discomfort. Tiny, metabolically inert pigment granules are implanted below the epidermis. Since it fades with time a touch up treatment is usually required periodically.
You can discuss the lightness and darkness options with your doctor. Typically, patients use a lighter color and return for additional treatment to darken the color if needed.

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Dermaplaning is a quick procedure with few to no adverse effects and has quickly gained popularity. Using a scalpel and a delicate touch, the doctor simply abrades the surface of the skin using light feathering strokes. The top layer of dull dead skin cells are removed along with vellus hair in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. Dermaplaning also allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly.
This is a great treatment for patients who are pregnant or nursing who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin because of the risk that the chemicals will be absorbed into the blood stream and may be transferred to the fetus or the child. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. This hair often causes a buildup of dirt and oil in the follicles, so removing the hair gives the patient healthier looking skin. Dermaplaning is especially effective on those with dry or rough skin texture and helps to minimize superficial acne scarring or uneven skin tone. It is also beneficial for mature skin, which tends to have a buildup of dead cells as cellular turnover slows down with age. It is painless , quick, and the results are immediate!
Dermaroller treatment is done for treating Acne Scars, Wrinkles, Pigmentation and Hair loss. This process induces collagen production which is responsible for more strength and elasticity and fills up the depth of pits and thereby reduces the acne scars. The DERMAROLLER has special medical graded stainless steel needles that perforate the scar tissue easily. The scars become softer, leveled out and in most cases give a natural appearance.
Microneedling with dermarollers on the scalp triggers the body’s wound healing response and helps in the development of new hair follicles. it also stimulates blood circulation and increases nutrient supply to the follicles.
How long will the entire treatment take?
The dermaroller treatment can take 20 minutes to an hour depending on the areas to be treated.
Benefits of dermaroller treatment:
Short treatment time
Short healing period
Cost effective
Added advantage of Facial Rejuvenation
All skin types can be treated
Other Applications of Dermaroller
Acne scars
Scars—Chicken pox, Accidents, Burns
Pigmentation
Stretch marks
Cellulite
Hair loss
Phototherapy or light therapy is a form of treatment for skin conditions using artificial light of wavelength same as the ultraviolet part of the sun’s spectrum. In this way, ultraviolet light can be delivered with a higher intensity without the light of all other wave lengths that are present in sunlight, e.g. visible light and infrared. Ultraviolet light reduces inflammation of the skin and can help in various inflammatory skin disorders. During phototherapy, the patient’s skin or just the lesions are exposed to ultraviolet light.
The types of phototherapy used include:
Hand & Foot Phototherapy
Psoralen + ultraviolet light A (PUVA)
Ultraviolet light B (UVB) phototherapy
Targeted Phototherapy
Used in the treatment of:
Psoriasis
Vitiligo
Eczema
Various forms of dermatitis
Generalised itchy skin
